CPS Energy is offering a rebate of $0.50 per square feet of the floor plan for existing homes, if both the attic and walls are insulated at the same time.  A rebate of $0.25 per square feet of attic floor space under conditioned areas of the home is offered if only the attic is sprayed. CommercialCPS Energy

To receive an (up to $.20/kWh) incentive for energy efficiency in new commercial construction, the building must be at least 15% more energy efficient than the City of San Antonio (CoSA) building codes (IECC 2009) implemented in January 2010. More information.

The Residential and Small Commercial Standard Offer Program (Res/Com SOP) provides incentives for the retrofit or new construction installation of a wide range of measures that reduce energy costs, reduce peak demand, and save energy in residential and small commercial facilities. Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative (GVC) offers a variety of incentives to help residential customers to save energy. Rebates are available for energy efficient new homes and improvements to existing homes. Attic/Wall Insulation: $0.20 per sq ft. More information.

Texas Gas Service offers an incentive of up to $300 for its residential customers within the Austin and Sunset Valley city limits to install new attic insulation. Residential customers must have the base gas service rate AUST I/S, SUNV I/S or ABIA I/S to be eligible. More information.

Local Option - Contractual Assessments for Energy Efficient Improvements

Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing effectively allows property owners to borrow money to pay for energy improvements. The amount borrowed is typically repaid via a special assessment on the property over a period of years. Texas has authorized local governments to establish such programs, as described below. (Not all local governments in Texas offer PACE financing; contact your local government to find out if it has established a PACE financing program.) More information

The Texas State Loan Program is avaliable to Schools, Local Government, State Government, Hospitals, offering a 3% APR. Loans are repaid through energy cost savings. Projects must have an average payback of 10 years or less. More information.

Austin Energy offers loans at an APR of 0%-6.5% and repayment term of up to 10 years to its residential customers for financing energy efficient improvements in their homes. The minimum amount for personal loan is $500 and the minimum amount for an energy improvement loan is $1,500. All work must be done by a program-approved contractor. More information.

Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative offers an incentive for its members to increase the energy efficiency of their existing homes and facilities through their Conservation Plan 7 Loan Program. The loan program provides funds up to $7,000 for GVEC members to make energy-saving improvements at a 7% interest rate over a 7 year loan term. Monthly payments will be made through GVEC electric bills. More information.
